A little about me......

Welcome to my studio - my name is Kerryanne English

and I am the owner designer behind Woodberry Designs.

I'm a stay at home mum to my daughters Jessica (13) and Aimee (10) and married for 17 years to my wonderful husband Mark. I should also mention my 'furry daughter' and painting buddy Gypsy, a 5 year old Bichon Friese, who keeps me company during the many hours I spend in the studio.

I've been lucky enough to combine my two passions in life - family and art. I operate Woodberry Designs from a home studio in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I've enjoyed working in the art field for 25 years - 15 of those in my own business. Woodberry Designs has essentially been a country themed business, so the Shabby Art Boutique is a new venture for me for 2007.

I have always loved everything that is old - antiques, time worn vintage pieces and shabby finds. Hunting for these treasures is half the pleasure in acquiring these delights so you'll often find me scouring through flea markets, second-hand stores and the Salvo's looking for that special piece. I will be listing some of these shabby and vintage treasures that have been transformed on our "Shabby For Sale' page.

I fill my days in the studio teaching decorative painting, designing, marketing my pattern range and when time permits, transforming vintage pieces. I supply projects for both Handmade magazine (each issue) and Australian Decorative Painting magazine. In the coming months I have 2 shabby and 1 French inspired project in the Australian Decorative Painting magazine - visit our "Magazine Projects' page for a sneak peek.
