Newsletter - January 2010

Happy New Year to all my creative friends. I hope like me, you have all had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to start on a new and exciting creative journey for 2010.

My 'MOJO' is in overdrive already. I'm on a creative high right now, which probably has a lot to do with the new studio being completed. I've spent the past month setting it up, getting it arranged the way I like and just having fun playing with and re-discovering all my supplies. Aahhh....bliss!!

With stage one now completed we are working on stage two - the new classroom. It should be finished and fitted out in time for term 1 classes in a few weeks. I'm thrilled to be conducting classes and workshops again. I'm very passionate about creativity and being able to share that with others is very fulfilling and rewarding. I've already had a great response to my flyers at the Artist Market, so hope to have several classes up and running this term.

I'll also be conducting weekend workshops throughout the year. This is a great option for anyone living in NSW. Port Macquarie is 4 hours from Sydney, so why not organize a girls weekend up on the beautiful mid north coast and take in one of my 'Ladies Day Out' workshops!! Private workshops can also be arranged if you have a group of 7 - 8 people.

I've updated the website this week. There is new art available on both the 'Art for Sale' page and the 'Beach Boutique' page. There is also new pages for Classes and Workshops.

The new doodle book is close to completion too. This book will be a little different to the previous two in that it also has some project instructions included. Now you have the option of using the doodles for inspiration or you can follow the instructions for a specific project. I'll be running a competition when I release the book, so keep an eye out for that.

During the break while I was still in Christmas mode, I finalized the new Christmas designs for 2010. I'll be releasing them in June. I think I am all over Christmas now so nice to put them away until mid year. Right now I am working on the new pattern designs for the romantic cottage and beach boutique range. Once they are back from the printers I will post a message on the Mailing List.

Also on the agenda for 2010 is the Craft Expo which I will be at from 9th to 11th July. I'll be demonstrating and teaching there too. Hope to see many of you there.

Add to that lots of new patterns, a book, competitions and giveaways, classes and workshops and the monthly market and it is sounding like a fun-filled year ahead.
