Christmas

Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Well here we are at the end of another year and I can't believe that I am here writing my Christmas newsletter again. I'm sure like me, for a lot of you Christmas is your favourite time of year. I absolutely love everything about Christmas: from creating pretty Christmas crafts, writing cards and wrapping presents, filling the house with the scents of Christmas baking and finally decorating the house. It's the perfect time of the year to be surrounded by friends and loved ones!!

Studio Closure

Don't forget the Woodberry Designs Studio will be closing earlier this year on November 28th, due to my impending surgery. I will be re-opening in February/March 2009. I'll be off my feet for approximately 12 weeks so will have plenty of time to create new designs and projects for 2009. During that time I will still be on-line via my blog.

Art for Sale

I've finally managed to get my collection of 'Art for Sale' up on the Shabby Art Boutique web-store. I have another collection that will be added next week. I hope you like these new items as much as I enjoyed painting them.

New Workshops

My new workshops are already underway. A lovely group of ladies enjoyed a (POM) 'Pizza and Paint' night last Friday evening. The Woodberry Designs Studio is now conducting monthly weekend workshops. Some of the workshops have set projects (Projects of the Month - POM) while others are open painting sessions. These workshops provide a great opportunity for those who perhaps do not attend regular classes or need more time to work on unfinished projects. I will also be having guest teachers periodically.

The next scheduled workshop is a Saturday 'Ladies Day Out' afternoon on November 22nd. For more details Click Here

A big thank you to all those customers who took the time to offer feedback and suggestions after my last newsletter. I really appreciated it. It is reassuring to know that you like what I am doing and support the changes I have made to my business.

In 2009 my projects will continue to be featured in Handmade Magazine each or most months. I'll be making a few changes to my own pattern collection with many of my 200 patterns being retired. The collection has got way too big so it is time to retire and replace. Of course some of those older patterns are perennial favourites so you will more than likely see some of those being revamp and re-invented. I'm certainly moving away from wood cut-outs and while I will still create some patterns in wood the majority will be on easier and more accessible surfaces. Much of my feedback applauded the use of canvases so there will definitely be more canvas projects. If you would like to make a suggestion for a project please don't hesitate to contact me - Email

Thank you for your continued support throughout 2008. I hope you have a lovely Christmas spent with family and loved ones and a safe and happy New Year. I look forward to catching up with you all again in 2009.

Please leave a message on my Guestbook when next you visit me at Woodberry Designs.
